Motivation

motivation is a process of inpiring employees to strive for superior performances.motivation moves one towards a goal,it is that which causes channels and sustains people's behaviour, maintains and changes behaviour.it can also be defined as the process of creating organisational conditions that would cause employees to reach for an increase in productivity. It is often called intervening variables.intervening variables are internal and psychological processes which are not directly obsservable and which in turn account for behaviour.
The process of motivation begins with need to accomplish some goals i.e, it starts with unsatisfied needs.however many times organisations fail in meeting thier unsatisfied needs.it is necessary to explore what happens when needs are not satisfied. unsatisfied needs tend to push people or produce tension within an organisation. These unsatisfied needs tend to motivate the individuals to behaviour which will relieve the tension in an attempt to satisfy these needs.
